Ara Arslanian is the drivers' driver. Equally skilled on the curves of Pocono Raceway
as the tarmac at Englishtown, Ara has taken himself and the Bullish Racing Supra through the winners circle and into the record books.
The Bullish prepared 2JZ Supra is the Quickest Factory Six Speed Supra; scorching the timers with a best 9.83@147 mph. Quite a feat
when you consider besides the obvious handicap of manually rowing through six gears, the car also retains its factory unibody chassis
and a full interior. However, even bigger news is on the horizon as Bullish nears completion of its tube framed Pro Drag Solara Race
Car. |

Gary Gardella is a relatively new face to the pro import ranks, but his timeslips and
wins so far are putting him in contention for 2001 Rookie of the Year honors. Debuting only earlier this year, the Ecko Unlimited/
DC Sports sponsored Drag Civic has run an incredible 9.24@161 best time to date; making it the first unibody fwd racer to break the
160 mph barrier. This may very well be the fastest & quickest unibody Honda in the country. With plenty of time left in the 2001
season, theres no telling how much faster this red rocket can go.

Stephan Papadakis is one of the true legends in the brief history of Import Racing. From street racer to track hero, Papadakis
has kept a disciplined work ethic to pioneer the course of Pro FWD racing. The familiar AEM/Greddy Pro FWD EK style tube chassis
hatchback will be soon retired as a new 7th gen Civic based Coupe is nearing completion. First in the 9's, and the 8's - many now
look to Papadakis to be the first FWD racer to reach the land of the 7's. |

R.J. Simrock has been on a tear recently. Undefeated in the first two NIRA events of 2001, the Ben Ma owned AEBS Ford Focus has
overcome setup problems from last year in an impressive manner. Consistent 7 second racing has competitors leary of this Cosworth
powered slingshot. Look for this RWD Focus to be a contender all season for the NIRA Pro Import Championship. |

Jojo Callos was first introduced to the import racing world piloting a then developmental Jackson Supercharged Civic. That was
back in 1996. Five years later and the rookie stripes are long gone. In their place are the marks of a veteran Pro 4 Cylinder
assassin. Jojo made the trip from California with his JG sponsored EG bubbleback and outlasted Lisa Kubo at the NIRA Englishtown
event to let people know that he's a force to be reckoned with in 2001. |
